The NADeFA Board of Directors approved taking legal action in challenging the Oregon Fish and Wildlife jurisdiction over animals sold to preserves in other states. NADeFA is committed to assist Oregon producers to challenge these rules put in place with the advice from the Humane Society of the United States and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. NADeFA Washington DC Update
As part of the DC Committee, Joel Trammell and Myself represented The Whitetails of Oklahoma and supported NADeFA in Washington DC to educate and make our industry better known with our Senators, Representatives, USDA, Farm Bureau, and SCI.
With the support and scheduling of Capital Hill Consulting Group a total of 25 deer breeders from 11 different states attended just under 40 meetings in 3 days. Bill Brewster and his staff did an excellent job with scheduling, transportation, and representation of NADeFA. (click link below to for the "rest of the story")
